Size 12 is not Fat- Book Review
I told you I wanted a quick read next. Man it feels nice to be able to accomplish a book in a couple of days!
So this is complete chick-lit. It is the start of a series about a character, Heather Wells. She is an ex tween star who wanted to sing her own songs so left her label and ended up losing her boyfriend and mom in the process.
She starts off on her future as an assistant to a resident hall at NYU. Unfortunately the dorm isn’t so quiet as a couple of girls die and Heather finds herself right in the middle of trying to decide who done it while others question if it is just an accident.
All along the way Heather struggles with being the “average size of American women”…a size 12. She loves her carbs and her junk and has dreams of chips. She is surrounded by smaller girls who think her size keeps her from getting the guy, but she is comfortable in her own skin and sticks that size 12 is the average size.
It was a quick easy read. The characters were developed nicely and I am interested to see where Heather goes in the next book.
Was so happy to have a lighter read after the passage…I think some of it has to do with the accomplishment of finishing a book, it is like crossing something off my checklist.
Now the only problem is I don’t know what I am going to read next.
